I'm Alex, a founder and technologist based in San Francisco. I am currently exploring AI for physical operations. I also run Patchworks, a workspace and community for zero-to-one founders in Dogpatch.
Previously, I founded ZKP2P, a lab exploring zero-knowledge proofs over authenticated data that later became Peer, a p2p stablecoin on-ramp built around cryptographic payment verification.
Before that, I founded Set, which built smart-contract based infrastructure for onchain asset management and structured products.
Earlier, I worked at Square, Caviar, Apple, and Zynga. I studied EECS at UC Berkeley.
I spend the rest of my time investing in startups and studying public markets. I regularly host events and poker games in San Francisco. I enjoy teaching the game, so reach out if you'd like to join, even if you're new. Want to exploit me at the table? Read my introduction to poker strategy.
